Silver bowl and steel spoon set
£765.00 On Sale

The bowls are individually cast in local sand/clay moulds from a Damascus steel bowl. I use my charcoal furnace so that these pieces can be cast in the landscape using this very traditional process. Each piece is different, taking texture from the local sand and other variations from the casting process. The coloration is largely created by how I treat the surface after casting. Sterling silver discolours in the heating process so this finishing is an intense process to coax the best from the piece. The bowl fits comfortingly in the hand.
The stand is Damascus steel, designed and hot forged to fit the bowl. The Damascus spoon is also available separately. The dark patterned steel contrasts and compliments the bowl and hints at some domestic use.
The sterling silver is hallmarked.
